RaunchTone is a one-person operation, built by a builder — not a retail chain.

I started this store because I wanted to eventually design and build my own line of electric guitars and basses. Before I get there, I need to know the hardware inside and out: which pickups actually sound the way they're described, which bridges hold tune, which tuners are worth the money. RaunchTone grew out of that process. Every product in the catalog is hardware I'm sourcing, testing, and using in my own builds — pickups, bridges, wiring, tuners, knobs, and accessories for guitar and bass players who'd rather build and repair their own gear than pay someone else to.

Our hardware is supplied by Musiclily, a manufacturer specializing in guitar and bass parts. RaunchTone is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Fender, Gibson, Ibanez, Epiphone, or any other guitar or bass brand referenced in our product listings. Where we mention a brand name (for example, "Strat-style" or "for Ibanez-style bass"), it's solely to describe fit and compatibility with that instrument — nothing more.
